The Falmouth (Maine) Rotary is presenting their
1st Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on Sunday, May 3, 2009. This event,
which is a fund-raiser, will benefit Safe Passage,
an organization
that helps children in Guatemala emerge from impoverished
circumstances.
 The
fiesta will feature local Mexican restaurants who will be competing for the
"best of" title in several different categories including "best overall
Mexican Food." The event will feature live music, food tasting, bar (for
adults) and many other fun, festive things. This festival is located
at
58 Fore Street in Portland (same building as the Portland Flower Show
- click here for directions). In particular, this fiesta will be
livened up by the riveting sounds of Maine's premier Latin America influenced
band Primo-Cubano. Their lively salsa music will give an authentic
flavor to this unique event. You can hear them live from 12:30p to 4:30p
during our Cinco de Mayo celebration. Come join us for a good
time, good food and a good cause.
